How to tell what breed a cat is

Cats have found a way to communicate with humans that is much easier than pointing to the litter box. Cats have 9 different methods of communication with their human guardians, which are called their body language. There are many ways to tell what breed a cat is by the way it walks, looks, and behaves.

Here are the different ways to tell what breed of cat you have:

Long Hair Cats:

Long haired cats are known as Persians, Himalayans, Maine Coons and Egyptian Mau cats. These cats have hair that is long and can be very thick. They are known for having long, silky hair.

Short Hair Cats:

Short hair cats are known as Sphynx cats, Siamese cats, and Turkish Angoras. These cats have hair that is very short. They are known for having hair that is very straight.

Tortoiseshell Cats:

Tortoiseshell cats are known as Birman cats. These cats have stripes that are black and white.

Tabby Cats:

Tabby cats are known as American Shorthair cats, American Shorthair Persians, and American Short Hair cats. These cats have a coat that is mostly all black and white.

Amber Cats:

Amber cats are known as British Shorthair cats, British Shorthair Persians, and British Short Hair cats. These cats have a coat that has some tan and brown in it.

Sable Cats:

Sable cats are known as British Longhair cats, British Longhair Persians, and British Short Hair cats. These cats have a coat that is mostly all black and white.

Calico Cats:

Calico cats are known as British Longhair cats, British Longhair Persians, and British Short Hair cats. These cats have a coat that is mostly all black and white.

Tabby cats are known as British Longhair cats, British Longhair Persians, and British Short Hair cats. These cats have a coat that is mostly all black and white.

British Short Hair Cats:
