What age do cats lose baby teeth

It depends on the cat. At various times a cat might have lost a couple of baby teeth, but many cats retain most of their baby teeth until they are approximately 2 years old.

Are there any symptoms of a sick cat?

There may be a pet that is not eating well or is vomiting or throwing up. There may also be diarrhoea.

Can you take your cat to the vet?

Yes, but please contact the vet first to make sure they are open.

Should you bring your cat to the vet?

If your cat is not eating, has diarrhoea or vomiting, then bring him/her to your vet for a check up.

Is it OK for your cat to go to the vet?

Yes, please remember:

• Do not give your cat any food or water until we have examined him/her at the surgery.

• If your cat is pregnant, or you have already had kittens, please bring them to the surgery at the same time.

• Please keep your cat in a carrier or your car until we have examined him/her at the surgery.

• If you meet another cat – do not let your cat approach.

Does the vet need to examine your cat?

Yes, and we will contact you before the appointment to let you know when the appointment will be.

What happens at the appointment?

We will see your cat, examine him/her and talk to you about the problem.

How much does the consultation cost?

For a check up with our vet, consults cost £15.00.

What if I do not have my cat microchipped?

We can only treat animals that are microchipped.

Is there a charge for the appointment?

Yes, we charge £15.00 for the consultation.

Can I bring a friend or relative with me to the appointment?

Yes, but we would ask you to let us know that you are bringing someone with you.

Do you remember my cat?

Yes, we will remember your cat, but please bring us a photo so that we can see your cat.

How long will the appointment take?

We aim to see all cats within 30 minutes.

Can you tell me what the problem is?

Yes, we will tell you what the problem is.

What should I do if my cat shows signs of a serious illness?

Please contact the vet immediately.

Will it cost anything to see the vet?

No, we do not charge for appointments.
