What age to you spay a cat

You may have heard that the age at which you should spay or neuter a cat varies depending on its breed. However, it’s actually the same for all cats.

How much does it cost?

A spay/neuter surgery will cost between $50 and $70. This includes the doctor’s fee, anesthesia and vaccines.

When should I take my cat to the veterinarian?

Your veterinarian will be able to tell you how old your cat is and advise you when it’s time to have a spay/neuter surgery.

When should I have my cat’s spay/neuter surgery?

If your cat is at least six months old, you should get your cat spayed or neutered. If your cat is younger than six months old, it’s best to wait until after the six months to spay or neuter your cat to avoid any complications.

How many spay/neuter surgeries will my cat need?

It’s best to have your cat spayed or neutered before it reaches puberty.

What should I do after my cat has her spay/neuter surgery?

Your veterinarian will give your cat a pain medication to ease any discomfort during surgery.
