What are the characteristics of cats

Cats are one of the most popular pets in the world. Their small size and the fact that they can reproduce rapidly make them the perfect pet for many households, and their independent nature makes them hard to train.

There are three general categories of cat: domestic, wild and hybrid. Domestic cats are those that live exclusively in homes and have been selectively bred to be smaller and have softer fur. The wild cats, on the other hand, are those that live in the wild, generally in the places where they were born. Hybrid cats are those that are the result of crossing domestic cats with the wild cats.

Species

There are different breeds of cats, each with its own characteristics and personality. The most common species are the domesticated cat, the African wild cat and the big cat. The domestic cat is the most popular species and the most common in the United States.

Cats are found in a variety of colors (white, gray, brown, black, orange and tabby) but usually have a spotted coat.
