What are the big cat species

Big cats are the most numerous cats species. They are the most common, but they are not the only ones to live in the wild and in captivity.

Big cats are classified into the following groups:

Felidae: the lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, cougars, and their relatives, such as the cheetah, the snow leopard and the clouded leopard, also known as the Sunda clouded leopard.
