By: Leanne 05/23/2014

I was thinking about getting a kitten. I got there and they were so friendly. They asked me if I wanted a kitten. I said yes. They said they were very friendly and would love to be around other kittens. They told me they would be perfect for a newbie. I said ok and I wanted a black one. They asked me if I wanted a male or female. I said female. They said we have a female for you. They brought her out and she was so tiny! They said she would be a mother cat.

They were so friendly. I thought it was a different breed. They said no, her parents were black and white. They said she was a calico. I said I want her. They said they would be happy to do that. They gave me her kitten. They said she would be mine. They said I would need to keep her in the house and protect her.

They said I would have to feed her every 2 hours. I said ok. They said I would have to give her a bath every week. I said ok. They said I would have to keep her indoors. I said ok. They said I would have to give her a litter box. I said ok. They said I would have to have a collar and leash. I said ok. They said I would have to give her shots every month. I said ok. They said I would have to have her spayed when she was old enough. I said ok. I thought she was very friendly.

They said she would be perfect. They said she would love running up to other kittens. They said I would be a great owner. They said I would have a cat by the end of the week. I asked them how much. They said $50. I said ok. I told them I would take her. They said go ahead, they would get her ready.

They said she would be ready by 3:00, so I told them I would be there. They said go ahead and bring her out. I said ok. I brought her out and she was so tiny. They said that is why they gave me a female. They said she was very friendly and would love to be around other kittens. They said she would be perfect for me.

They said she would be an inside cat. I said ok. They said I would have to keep her inside 24 hours a day. I said ok. They said I would have to keep her indoors. They said she would have to have a litter box and a collar and leash. I said ok. They said I would have to have her shots and spayed. I said ok. They said I would have to get her litter box, collar and leash. I said ok. They said she would be ready by 3:00.

Make no mistake; cats are sociable animals, although don’t expect them to be as social as dogs. Canines have existed in packs and they have learned the importance of a highly organized social structure in their survival. Cats, on the other hand, only have their littermates to hang out with as kittens. Read more

Why do some cats dislike belly rubs? Hair follicles on the belly and tail area are hypersensitive to touch, so petting there can be overstimulating, Provoost says. “Cats prefer to be pet and scratched on the head, specifically under their chin and cheeks,” where they have scent glands, Provoost says. What is a cat's favorite thing to eat? Cats are meat eaters, plain and simple. They have to have protein from meat for a strong heart, good vision, and a healthy reproductive system. Read more
