What a cat's vision looks like

It is not like the human eye. Humans have two eyes and cats have only one. Each eye is called an eye and the iris is a color-changing area within the eye. The colored part of the eye is called the retina and allows for the cat to see.

A cat's retina is covered with light sensitive cells. The cells respond to light and signal the nerve cells in the brain. The nerve cells send signals to the mind and help the cat to see.

A cat's retina is not like the human eye. It is not a well organized structure and there are no distinct colors. The cat's eye has a color-blind spot in the middle of the back. This area cannot see colors at all.
