What are cat years counted in

CAT years are counted in the year the cat is born. That means the year the cat is born, not the year the cat is adopted. If a cat’s year is an odd number, the year is counted in the next even year. If the cat is adopted the next year, and the year the cat is adopted is an odd number, the year the cat is adopted is counted in the preceding even year.

The following table shows how many CAT years are in each year of a cat’s life.
