What are cats thinking when they look at you

The study, conducted by neuroscientists from the University of Sussex, the University of St Andrews, and the University of Edinburgh, investigated the neural underpinnings of the human-cat relationship by measuring the brain activity of volunteers who were shown a series of images of people and cats, while undergoing brain scans.

The researchers found that the feline-loving volunteers showed more activity in the reward-processing areas of the brain than the people-loving volunteers.
