What do cats think when you pick them up

Cats are territorial and you should never pick a cat up without asking first. This is because cats are more likely to attack when they are picked up from behind. If the cat smells something offensive or feels threatened it is likely to scratch or bite.

How do I deal with a feral cat?

If you are not sure whether the cat you have found is feral, contact the RSPCA or your local council.
