What happens when your cat has kittens

Kittens are cute, but they require a lot of attention. Whether you have one or many, you’ll need to make sure that your cat or kitten is getting enough food, water, litter boxes, and love. You’ll also need to be prepared for the extra cleaning and general upkeep that’s needed for a litter box full of newborn kittens.

In addition to the basic daily care, there are a few things to keep in mind:

Kittens will need to be vaccinated and spayed/neutered as soon as they are old enough. Kittens do not yet have vocal cords and cannot communicate their needs, so you’ll need to be sure that your kitten is getting plenty of attention at all times.

It will help reduce the number of unwanted kittens.

It will prevent painful and difficult births.

It will reduce the risk of becoming pregnant by another male cat.

It will prevent the possibility of transmitting certain types of viruses and diseases, such as FIV and Feline Leukemia.

Is it okay to neuter my male cat?

Neutering a male cat will prevent them from getting a very annoying habit. When cats are neutered, they eliminate the need to spray urine around the house by marking their territory with their scent.
